Raycent linocut
Julien GARNIER, aka RAYcent, is a self-taught artist from Toulouse inspired by music, which plays a central role in his life and work. Through his exploration of a wide range of artistic techniques, RAYcent has developed a particular attraction for engraving and, more specifically, intaglio.
"My attraction to engraving is linked to the fact that it's an artistic technique that involves the removal of material, which makes it graphically very interesting.
As his printmaking process is entirely artisanal, the majority of his creations are produced in black ink, enabling him to work more effectively with light and shadow. À through his work, RAYcent captures the essence of the artists he admires, creating unique and detailed scenes, imbued with his love of music.
